Traffic Skills 101

Bicycle Indiana is excited to sponsor Smart Cycling: Traffic Skills 101 class for bicyclist. We have two upcoming classes, one in Goshen, Indiana on August 21st, and one in Fort Wayne, Indiana on August 28th. Both programs run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Smart Cycling - Traffic Skills 101 is one of the educational programs developed by the League of American Bicyclists. The course gives cyclists the confidence they need to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. The course covers bicycle safety checks, fixing a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques and includes a student manual. Recommended for adults and children above age fourteen, this fast-paced, nine-hour course prepares cyclists for a full understanding of vehicular cycling. The fee for the class is $25 per participant. Bicycle Indiana members receive a $5 discount on the course fee and Fort Wayne students will receive a $25 gift card from Fort Wayne Outfitters upon completion of the course.

The Fort Wayne class will be held at IPFW, Walb Student Union - classroooms 114/116. 2101 E. Coliseum Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN.
