Danny Graber - Chair, Term 2010-2013

Danny Graber is from Elkhart, IN, where he is also president of the local bicycle advocacy group, Bike Elkhart. Graber, who has been on the board for six years, is the lead organizer of the Pumpkinvine Bike Ride, now in operation for 12 years. Graber is also a League of American Bicyclists Certified Safety Instructor. He has worked in areas such as legal research analytics, technical writing, and photography.







Allan Henderson – Treasurer, Term 2010-2012

Allan Henderson is from Anderson, IN, is an avid on and off-road cyclist and has assisted with bicycle education courses. Henderson has a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and a master’s degree in urban and regional planning. He is a certified planner of the American Planning Association, a member of the League of American Bicyclists, has 12 years of experience in community planning and development, and authored the Madison County Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Master Plan. Henderson is also a former Peace Corps Volunteer.





Darlene Wefel, Vice-Chair

Darlene Wefel is from Newburgh, IN, where she is treasurer of the Evansville Bicycle Club, Inc. She has organized and worked with groups on bicycle safety programs, and is the organizer of Evansville’s Great Pumpkin Metric Bicycle Tour. Wefel has also worked with IMBA on trailnbuilding for mountain biking. Wefel has been an accountant for Wessleman’s division of Winkler, Protexall, Edmund Hafer Architect and James Roach, CPA. Today Wefel is a controller/credit manager for Winkler, Inc.






Karen Bohn, Secretary Term 2011-2013

Karen Bohn is from Carmel, IN, and is also a member of the board of directors of the Greenways Foundation and Gleaners Food Bank. Bohn enjoys recreational and fitness cycling and is a member of the Carmel Taskforce for Bicycling and Pedestrians. Bohn received a nursing degree from the College of St. Francis and worked as a women’s heath nurse practitioner at Clearvista Women’s Care in Indianapolis.








Pete Fritz, Past Chair, Term 2009-2011

Pete Fritz is from Indianapolis and enjoys commuting to work, logging over 3,800 commuter miles in 2011. He is the commuter chair for CIBA and sits on the City of Indianapolis’ Multi-modal Task Force and the bicycle advisory council for the city of Indianapolis. A graduate of Ball State University, he double-majored in landscape architecture and environmental design with a minor in fine arts. Fritz has served on the board of directors at Bicycle Indiana for nine years and has 25 years of experience as a landscape architect and urban planner. Today Fritz works at the Indiana State Department of Health.






Chris Brooks, Term 2009-2011

Chris Brooks is from Noblesville, IN, and has over 20 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations. A graduate from Indiana University, Brooks is a past president of the state’s PR society chapter of 400 professionals. He is also a member of HMBA and has been involved or participated in the Hilly Hundred, Brown County Breakdown, Bike to Work, Senior Games mountain biking medalists, CIBA rides, road rides in Colorado and Canada, and trail building at Brown County State Park. Today, Brooks is a national delegate to the Girl Scouts of the USA, among other civic contributions.






Jordan “Jay” Church, Term 2011

Jordan “Jay” Church is from Indianapolis and is a member of the Transportation Practice Group in the Office of the Attorney General where he has served as the section chief. In this role Church works closely with the Indiana Department of Transportation where he is an advocate for the interests of cyclists in the recent Indy Connect transit study. He also serves on Indiana’s State Bar Association Wellness Committee and has volunteered to advise the YMCA in the development of a bicycle commuter center in the Indianapolis City Market. Church enjoys commuting via bicycle and competing in triathlons.

Randy Clark, Term 2010-2012

Randy Clark is from Indianapolis and is a regular rider of the Monon Trail. Clark is an Eli Lilly retiree and owner of Bicycle Garage Indy and BGI Fitness. He graduated from Indiana University and relieved his masters from Indiana State University.


Anne Ellis, Term 2010-2012

Anne Ellis is from Fort Wayne, IN, and has close ties to Summit Bicycle Shop. She enjoys road biking, tandem riding, education and special bicycling events and planning. Ellis, a graduate of Indiana University, is a retiree from the Allen County Public Library in Children’s Services.








Chris Tietz, Term 2011-2012

Chris Tietz is from Bloomington, IN, and got involved with promoting cycling safety after an unfortunate fatal accident involving a cyclist and a motorist several years ago in Evansville. The accident triggered Tietz to pursue bicycle safety and advocacy issues. He obtained his LCI certification in order to achieve credibility issues with political and judicial entities and has been pursing the peaceful coexistence of cyclists and motorists ever since.







Brian Brackemyre, Term 2011-2013

Brian Brakemyre is from Fishers, IN, and is interested in road cycling and mountain biking. One of Brackemyre’s main interests is bicycle safety as he was hit by a motorist in April 2009 where he sustained serious injuries. Brackemyre has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s in finance. He is the VP and CFO of Institute for Study Abroad and owner of indyoem.com.

Tom Sharp, Term 2011-2013

Tom Sharp is from Carmel, IN, and is involved in bicycle groups including IndyCOG and CIBA. Sharp attended Case Institute of Technology to study structural engineering, then received his masters at Southern Methodist University. He worked at Alcoa Aluminum for 30 years and a small business owner for 13 years.

Staff

Nancy Tibbett, Executive Director

Nancy Tibbett is from New Palestine and is the Executive Director of Bicycle Indiana. Tibbett has been a member of Bicycle Indiana and CIBA for more than a decade. She served as president of CIBA, Indiana’s largest bicycle club, in 2007 and 2008. Tibbett’s passion for bicycle safety rose after the death of a friend in a motorist/cyclist accident. Tibbett helped bring the Traffic Skills 101 course to the greater Indianapolis area, and has been a key-note speaker at locations across Indiana. Tibbett is a member of the Department of Natural Resource’s Trails Advisory Board, Central Indiana Bicycling Association and the CIBA Foundation. Tibbett received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and her master’s degree from University of Phoenix.





Kevin Whited, Program Manager

Kevin Whited is from Indianapolis and enjoys mountain biking, road riding and commuting. He has worked in marketing and sales for class I railroads as well as mass transit agencies. Whited has also has experience in sustainable transportation planning as well as transportation demand management program implementation.
